Breakdown

Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse

I contributed as a lighting and compositing artist for the show, focusing on the spot chase sequence and the rooftop conversation between Miles and Jeff. I supported the team by setting up the look of the tarps, handling lookdev overrides and the comp setup for the challenging sun light.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

As a Realtime TD, I set up the Montauk Beach and Olympus Throne Room environments for the LED wall using ILM’s Stagecraft tools. I optimized these environments to ensure seamless integration with the set. This included setting up the ocean, animating the lighthouse spotlight and moving grass. This involved close collaboration with various departments, including art, camera, and lighting, to deliver immersive sets.

A Sparrow’s Song

I was the technical director and CG Supervisor on the production. My tasks included setting up the Shotgrid/ Flow Pipeline, managing the team, creating out multi shot lighting workflow in Katana (Arnold) and Nuke, as well as shading the assets and lighting and compositing over 30 shots.

Capturing Light with Robots

I developed an innovative approach to reproducing realistic lens flares. My work involves capturing lens flares with a motion control system to and uses advanced image processing techniques and machine learning to generate production-ready lens flares based on real lenses. My paper on the process won the short paper award at CVMP2024 and was presented at SIGGRAPH Asia 2024.
